What are the minimum system
requirements for Link Advisor?
You need one of the following operating systems to install Link Advisor:

Once you've installed Link Advisor it will work on all of the following

How do I install Link Advisor?
To install Link Advisor simply download the installation file
by clicking here,
run the installation file and follow the instructions on the screen.
This installation guide refers to installation of our "system wide" version of
Link Advisor (Which adds Link Advisor to all the browsers, email clients,
instant messengers and to Office 2007).
Firefox & Thunderbird Users
You can also install our Firefox/Thunderbird extention seperatly by clicking
here but we recommend the 'system
wide' version.

Why should I upgrade Link Advisor?

We encourage you to upgrade your Link Advisor whenever prompted to.
How do I upgrade Link Advisor?
Link Advisor will notify you whenever a major update is released. When you
receive an upgrade request just click Yes and Link Advisor will automatically
be updated.

How can I tell which version of Link
Advisor I'm using?
To view Link Advisor's version number simply 'right click' on the Link Advisor
tray icon (
) and
choose 'About...'.
The installation doesn't finish. What
should I do?
If you've encountered errors during the installation process, you don't have
permission to install security programs on your computer.

If you use a computer with several user accounts, log into the
computer using an account with administrator rights or ask the user who
normally installs software on your computer to install Link Advisor for you. |

If your computer is part of a network of computers, contact
your Network Administrator and ask him/her to install Link Advisor for you.

How do I run Link Advisor after installing it?
There is no need to run Link Advisor after installation. Simply
open your email client, browser or instant messenger as you normally would,
place your mouse over a link that was sent to you and you'll see a CallingID
site report.
I am prompted to allow Internet access to
CAGlobal.exe.
This problem is a result of personal firewall
configuration. You must set your personal firewall to allow CIDLightGlobal permanent
access to the Internet.
Every site I visit is "stuck" on Verifying.
