What are the minimum system
requirements for CallingID?

One of the following operating systems:
Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 2000, Windows XP Home, Windows XP Professional,
Windows 2003 Server.

Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5.0+ or Firefox 1.0+. |
(Currently only Internet Explorer and Firefox are supported.
Other browsers will be supported in future versions of CallingID)
How do I install CallingID?
To install CallingID simply download the installation file by
clicking here,
run the installation file and follow the instructions on the screen.
Where can I download CallingID?
You can download CallingID for free from this site by clicking
the green button to the left or by clicking
here. Just fill the form out and
click 'Download'.
Why should I upgrade CallingID?
CallingID works tirelessly to keep you safe and informed. We occasionally
release major updates to our software, which increase your security while
making the CallingID toolbar easier to use and customize.
We encourage you to upgrade your CallingID toolbar whenever prompted to.
How do I upgrade CallingID?
Your toolbar will notify you whenever a major update is released. Just click
Yes and CallingID will automatically uninstall your older version and
install the newer one.

How can I tell which version of CallingID
I'm using?
To view your CallingID toolbar's version number simply click on the CallingID
menu button and then on 'About...'. You version number appears in the 3rd line
from the top. If you are not currently using the latest version of CallingID a
button will appear on the right to allow you to upgrade your toolbar to the
latest version.
The installation doesn't finish. What
should I do?
If you've encountered errors during the installation process, you don't have
permission to install security programs on your computer.

If you use a computer with several user accounts, ask the user
who normally installs software on your computer to install CallingID for you or
log into the administrative user account. |
 |
If your computer is part of a network of computers, contact
your Network Administrator and ask him/her to install CallingID for you.

How do I run CallingID after installing it?
There is no need to run CallingID after installation. Simply
open your browser as you normally would and you'll see the CallingID
toolbar at the top of the screen near the address bar.
After installing CallingID I can not see the
toolbar. What can I do?
Please follow these steps in order:

If you're having trouble seeing the
CallingID toolbar and you use Windows 2000, Windows 98 or Windows ME please
make sure that the file you downloaded is the one suitable for your Windows
version. If you are not sure click
here to download the
file suitable for all these versions of Windows.
Before you install this file you must uninstall CallingID (for a detailed
description of the uninstall procedure, click
here).

In many cases an application running
on your computer may have interfered with the installation of CallingID
toolbar. If you restart Windows this problem will automatically be resolved
(There is no need to reinstall CallingID).

Many anti-spyware programs disable
installation of web-browser add-ons as many add-ons are not safe. Since
CallingID is a safe add-on (see our
download page for certificates) in many cases the following
steps will solve the problem:

Disable your anti-spyware software |

Install CallingID again |

Enable the anti-spyware software |

If the above procedures do not fix
the problem try the following:

Internet Explorer Users:

Open Internet Explorer

Choose the 'Tools' menu
|

Choose 'Internet Options'
|
| |

Click the 'Advanced' Tab
|
| |
 |
Scroll down to the 'Browsing' section and make
sure the 'Enable third party browser extensions' option is checked
|

Firefox Users:
|
| |
 |
Open Firefox
|
| |
 |
Choose the "Tools" menu
|
| |
 |
Choose "Extensions"
|
| |
 |
Right click CallingID and choose "Enable"
(If already enabled, read * below)
|

Close Firefox (all open windows)
|
| |
 |
* If the extension is already enabled, disable
it, close all Firefox windows, reopen Firefox, enable the extention again and
;close Firefox once more.

IE ONLY - If the above
procedures do not fix the problem try the following:

Open Internet Explorer |
| |
 |
Choose the 'Tools' menu |
| |
 |
Choose 'Internet Options' |
| |
 |
Click the 'Programs' tab |
| |
 |
Click 'Manage Add-ons' and make sure that CallingID is enabled |
| |
 |
In the same window make sure that the 'BHO Class' who's
publisher is CallingID is also enabled. |
